James

Support Worker

Hi there! I am a disability support worker who is passionate about helping people with disabilities achieve their fitness goals. I currently study sport and exercise science and enjoy applying what I learn to help NDIS participants to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. I have experience with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. My favourite aspect of my job is working alongside my clients at the gym, in the community or at sporting organisations like Special Olympics to help them reach their fitness goals. Outside of my work, I love to spend time at the beach, getting outside and playing sports such as basketball, soccer and golf. When I'm not getting active, I enjoy indulging in my love for video games. Overall, I thrive off of helping people and love to have fun whilst doing so.

Sarah

Support Worker

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am a young support worker who absolutely loves working with NDIS participants. I have experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health. I find such joy in helping others achieve their goals, and it’s an absolute privilege to be a part of someone’s journey towards their dreams. Aside from being a support worker, I also have a range of other interests and hobbies. I absolutely adore dogs and love spending time with them whenever I can. Health and fitness are also huge passions of mine, and I love going for walks, dancing, and doing gymnastics. When I’m not being active, I enjoy indulging in some shopping, as well as organizing and planning events or outings. Overall, I am a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

Lauren

Support Worker

I currently work as a support worker for various NDIS Participants, ranging from adults to young children. I am studying Occupational Therapy at UniSC and plan to pursue paediatric Occupation therapy when my degree is completed as this is an area I have become very passionate about while working as a support worker. As a Support worker I am passionate about providing fun and educational settings to help the people I work with to cultivate social, independent, and general life skills. My goal with each session is to bring a fun contagious energy as well as ensuring each and every session is tailored to the person I am seeing. As I said I currently have a range of participants so am very competent with being able to change up my style to suit. A couple things I enjoy is craft, exercise (walks, swimming, dance, gym, pilates) playing fun (as well as educational games) and more. I also often help the participants I see with organisation of appointment and putting in place systems that ensure basic skills are met (with the guidance of an Occupational therapist) and am more than capable of carrying through this skill with any future people I may see. I cannot express enough how much I enjoy being a Support Worker and as I said am so passionate about helping NDIS participants to smash their goals whatever they may be.
